JAZZHEAD SUNDAYS: Featuring The Feeling Groovies
We are thrilled to continue our free Jazzhead Sundays series: weekly afternoon sessions of glorious music at Lady Grange in St Kilda. We will be presenting a variety of artists from the Jazzhead and Head Records labels at this weekly event. Including any interstate guests who might happen to be in town!

Sunday 23 November will see The Feeling Groovies perform their latest release, Crowd Pleaser. All the info:

Consisting of Jeff Raglus, Bruce Haymes, Tom Roberts, Andy Price and Doug Kelly, there’s no denying that The Feeling Groovies know how to lay down some infectious grooves. From its swirling opening MYSTIC OLLIE sets the tone for the album. The signature trumpet and night club beat honed from nights mixing it up in smoky lounges and velvet lined cocktail dens keeping the Go Set swingin’.

Plenty has been written and said about the Groovies and their music; ‘trippy’, ‘dubby’, ‘acid-pop-jazz’, ‘ambient- lounge-funk’. Whatever! All of these apply and at one time or another have been more or less true... But one phrase has followed the Feeling Groovies from outset - ‘Man this band is a CROWD PLEASER!’
