JAZZHEAD SUNDAYS: ANTON DELECCA QUARTET

It's time for the next in our free Jazzhead Sundays series: weekly afternoon sessions of glorious music at Lady Grange in St Kilda.

We will be presenting a variety of artists from the Jazzhead and Head Records labels at this weekly event. Including any interstate guests who might happen to be in town!

Our next performance will be the Anton Delecca Quartet featuring: Anton Delecca (tenor sax) Luke Howard (piano) Jonathan Zion (acoustic bass) Andrew Swann (drums)

The gig info:

Venue: Lady Grange, upstairs, 1 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda
Time: 3-6pm
Cost: FREE

The quartet recently won the Best Jazz CD at The Age Music Victoria Genre Awards. They'll be playing songs from their compelling 3rd album, The Healer.

Band leader and tenor saxophonist Anton Delecca (also of The Bamboos) grew up listening to a diverse range of music, including Ravi Shankar and Louis Armstrong from his father's record collection, Led Zeppelin and 70s pop from his brother's collection and the classical cello and piano practice of his sister; all contributing to the sonic texture of his music today.
